As its name implies, Phone Manager provides users with a comfortable solution for managing the contents of their GSM mobile phone, allowing them to perform synchronization tasks, organize SMS messages and contacts and monitoring the signal and the battery levels. The application runs silently in the system tray and connects to your phone via Bluetooth or a USB serial port. It is compatible with any GSM phone with chip. The connected handheld device is automatically detected, while the baud rate, the flow control and other parameters are configured by the user. Once the connection is established, Phone Manager analyzes the device and identifies its model, the battery level and the signal quality. All this information is available via the context menu that is opened when the tray icon is clicked. Aside from monitoring the phone status, this program can be used for managing contacts stored in the phonebook. Thus, you can add and remove entries, move an item from the phone memory to the SIM card or viceversa, sync the address book or perform searches within the contact list. The SMS management tool can be used for reading the messages stored in the ‘Inbox’ and ‘Outbox’ folders of your phone, all within a simple interface. Furthermore, it enables you to compose a new SMS and send it to various contacts in the address book and view the delivery reports as the message is received. The application can also be used for performing data backups, managing alarms, registering carriers or performing synchronization tasks with the Windows Live Contacts or Google Contacts services. It monitors the device for incoming calls and received messages and notifies you immediately. Phone Manager is designed to help you organize your phone content much easier. However, it has not been updated for a while and therefore, it might not work with more recent phone versions and the latest technologies.
